Our new callings

I am super duuper excited about my new calling!!
I am a primary teacher for the 7-8 year olds and I couldn't be happier. I have a huge class and  I am still getting the hang of it but I know it'll just keep getting better and better.
When I got baptized as a member I was 12 years old so I've always felt like I missed out on primary. Now that I have this calling I'm loving every minute of it. I am learning so much, specially those primary songs.

Chris is the an assistant ward clerk now! He was a little sad/bummed about being released as the ward librarian. I know he will love his calling because that's just the type of person he is, have I mentioned how much I love him?? He's such a wonderful worthy loving priesthood holder.

We feel extremely blessed right now. Good night.

Baby someday...

Lately I've been thinking about lots of things. I will share with you what I've been pondering about lately by making a list of what I've been thinking:

1. Family vacations
2. Temples
3. Our Future
4. Schooling
5. More babies?

Since I haven't blogged in months I will just do a brief explanation of why I haven't written much.
It's been a busy year for us! It feels like with a blink of an eye we start one month and next thing I know it's ending. I can't believe how busy we stay and how days just seem to cruise. Right now I am loving playing with Timothy and Analicia almost everyday. We have a blast! It's challenging at times but I absolutely love being able to watch them grow and learn.
Out of all the things going on in our lives and our plans for this year we have something very important that's been on our minds. We have been thinking a lot about whether we want to really try to have another baby. I think I'm not 100% sure at this moment but I know that I want it to happen sooner than later. Honestly though, Im scared! I know that's a lame excuse but I just need to keep praying and fasting to ask Heavenly Father about what's the next step and if I need to pursue something right now. I just feel like this is an extremely hard topic because it's a beautiful but trying experience for me. I just hope that if we decide to continue to pursue it this year that it'll come true when it needs to. I often have to remind myself that I'm not alone and that Heavenly Father and Jesus are right them to hold my hand through anything (and of course my amazing husband).  Not only do I need to trust in Him more but I need to remember that it's not on our time but his. I pray that our family will be sensitive to the Spirit and that we may keep growing and maturing spiritually because it will help us with anything that comes our way. Have a great week my friends :)

FHE

I found the perfect lesson for tonight!! I thought I would share it because this is something I have been struggling with recently. I am not perfect and sometimes I do tend to get irritated very easily, specially if my son is getting into trouble and doesn't want to listen to me. I need to work on not getting so angry so easily and to be a better mom by being more and more patient. I specially need to work on not taking it out on Chris. Sometimes if we're having a bad unproductive day i tend to take it out on Chris once he gets home and he doesn't deserve that at all. I'm not an angry person, nor do I want to be around it but sometimes I feel tense and I am not being a nice person that I should be. Sometimes all I need is to take a deep breath and count to ten. SLOWLY. (I dont yell but i do tend to get frustrated and get a little mean and bossy) I need to remember that I am very blessed and I am loved. Most importantly I need to remember that those feelings aren't good and I need to pray to Heavenly Father for help. Have a great Monday!!! :) I know I will.

Im thankful for the gospel & more

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving last week. My husband and I were both off and we got the entire weekend to relax and see each other all the time. I'm so happy he got Thursday and Friday so we could spend lots of time with our family. On Thanksgiving morning Chris played football and I stayed home and slept in. I also picked up the house and did some cleaning. By the time Chris made it home we got ready for dinner at 1pm, (now dinner at one is a bit early for me specially since I'm Mexican and we're used to eating at 7 or 8 ish.) But we got there at around noon to help set up and by lending extra hands.
FOOD WAS SO GOOD. I loved the Turkey and mashed potatoes, then for dessert I had some homemade apple pie. It was a perfect afternoon with my Rudd family. They were even nice enough to let my small family come- my dad and sister.(MOm was working :( )
We were there until about six or seven and then we went to my parents and had dinner number two.

Temple Sealing.

About two weeks ago we had the opportunity to go to a family sealing. Well I should say a baby sealed to her eternal family. What a special blessing for us to be able to attend such a wonderful and special event. It was so awesome being in that room and the spirit was very strong. I am very thankful for the Stewarts example and frienship. They deserve those children more than anyone else I know. I hope their family continues to grow and they keep doing what they're doing. Here are some pictures we took after the sealing. Isn't Chris such a natural with a baby ? I think so, he's so good with children I love seeing him hold and play with kids.

Weekend this last.

No doubt about it we all love weekends. Specially me. I am working working school school study and then trying to see my wonderful husband is quite the rush. So on the weekends we get some amazing alone time and get to go on dates, take naps, and just relax for a couple minutes.
I think we can get all caught up in our lives and not get to see the beauty in the small and simple things. Although we still both had busy morning-afternoons, we had decided since early on that we would go on a date. :) We went to applebees and a enjoyed a much needed evening together. The only bad thing was we had to wait about a half hour and I was hungry, and we were sorrounded by the most annoying-high maintanence people I have ever been sorrounded by. It was quite the eventful night, very entertaining. We then went and saw some baby things at wal-mart and it was sooo cute!! I loved looking at all the cute baby things with Chris. It truly feels like a dream come true to be pregnant and look around for our future baby things. As of right now we havent bought many things but just a crib--- haha I know right?? But I can explain. We got it super cheap and couldnt pass this opportunity. We got it for a fifth of the price brand new! We are so happy and excited to get the nursery ready in the next coming months. I am already coming up with some very exciting and fun ideas.
Then after grocery shopping and such we came home to watch some TV and sleep!!! DId I mention I cant stay up past ten and I feel very sluggish all day. Its funny I never thought Id be this way but I guess something had to slow me down.

Sunday we went to church and it was uplifting. We made it early to church and you'd be proud. Lately we havent been too good on being prompt but we are going to make it our goal to be early to Sacrament every Sunday. We need to be the best we can be specially with this baby inside of me, we've got to be good examples and stay on our toes. May I add that our nursery class consisted of three amazing little ones. It was fun we played, we sang, we learned, we ate snacks, and we played dodgeball!! Ha ha . Perfect calling for Chris and I. During our nursery time we had these subs with us and they were lots of fun. Theyre a sweet cute couple and they shared some stories with us. They touched me and I wish I could help out others like them. I wont get into too much detail but they cant have babies & theyve been married for eight years.
And here I am almost married for a year and pregnant. LIfe is too good to be true sometimes. I know they'll be parents someday specially with heavenly fathers plan. I know that whatever happens I have heavenly father and an amazing family to support me. :) Life is good and although it's been a little hard for me I know I can do it and Ill get on my knees as much as I have to. I feel very blessed. I feel loved.

Life is too short to be upset or angry about. I will enjoy everything that comes my way and I will do the best I can to be a wonderful wife to Chris. He has been taking such good care of me. Our love has matured in so many ways with the past year and half that I've been with him.

I love him sooo much!

My favorite day is SUNDAY.

Hands down. The best day of the week is Sunday.

I love being able to just slow down for one day. It was given to us to rest. I love that.
Althought since this week has been pretty slow for week since I have an entire week off from work and school I've been a little bored. It's funny we complain when we're bored and when we're too busy. I guess we never really know how lucky we are until we're absent from it.

Here are some of my favorite reasons Sundays are the best:

1. No work, no worries.
2. No spending money- no shopping.
3. Family day- we sometimes have dinner with the in-laws or my family.
4. We can just sit back and relax.
5. Bake, cook, play games, nap, and get some "us" time.
6. Most of the time we arent rushed.
7. Refill our spiritual cup.
8. Get to teach our nursery kids.
9. Stay home most of the day.
10. We can go on walks, take pictures, visit friends or do anything as long as we keep the Sabbath holy.

That's why it's the best day of the week. We both don't work. We dedicate to the Lord and us. I look forward to this day because it keeps me sane. Sometimes my weeks go by so fast they become blury.
I am lovin our calling and our house more and more. I am thankful for every little good thing in our lives. I am also thankful for trials. Life is hard sometimes but if we endure to the end its worth it. Stay strong friends. Love you.

LOve you

FHE this past Monday

I gave the lesson :) And I thought I planned it very well and it led to an amazing discussion that my husband and I had and spent hours talking about.

My lesson was titled "I am a child of God", I think I needed to remind our family that although it is just Chris and I for NOW... We must always remember who our spiritual family is. We sang the hymn "I am a child of God" without any instruments. We don't have a piano nor are we musically talented but we felt the spirit. It was amazing. I love being able to have so much fun with my husband when its just us two and we're just relaxing at home. We are so blessed and happy to have each other.

Then, I went on to talk about how importan it is for us to know how we are very different but yet we have my similarities to our Heavenly Father. It's amazing how the small and simple things go a long way. We are trying to do better at all those primary things the church teaches and we have felt them change and impact our lives. I am so much more happy and I can deal with the little things that get in the way so much better.

After our two hour discussion, which was amazing!!! We then went on to the computer togo and work on our vacation we've been trying to plan. We've been struggling with planning our California trip and as much as we want to it didnt work out. Everything was pointing no and we could'nt agree on anything. So then we decided to look at different resorts in Arizona and guess what???? WE FOUND ONE we both loved. We are going to Talking Sticks in Scottsdale and I'm so excited. :) We're going to get to relax and just pretend we're rich in a nice resort. I can't wait to just be with my baby and no one else to bother us. It'll be our second honeymoon, besides camping and such.

I think that this was a very successfull FHE. We learned, we talked, we booked and paid the resort, and last but not least we grew closer together.

I COULDNT HAVE ASKED FOR A BETTER HUSBAND. THANK YOU BABY

Getting better at this..

It feels so good to accomplish good things and to make time for really important things. Chris and I have been doing so much better at reading scriptures. We've read almost every day for the past week. I can see how it brings us together and how it really protects us against the adversary. Throughout the year and half that we've been together we do read scriptures from time to time. I would say sometimes a few times a week and sometimes we just fall asleep before we know it. There's one thing that we score a TEN out of a TEN at and that is praying. We have been so good at that. We pray at least twice a day if not more. That has helped us out so much with everyday trials and decisions that we have to make. It makes a huge difference and I promise that if you do this with your partner you will feel the love stronger and it will help you overcome anything. It's amazing we dont have to have any money or be popular to communicate with the Lord it's amazing. He loves us all and I know that as you bring him into your family and marriage, or simply your life he will be there guiding you and holding your hand when things get tough.
I know that the more we try to be better at attending church, listening and taking it in unto your own understanding, praying, reading scriptures, committing to your callings, doing what is right, paying your TITHING, and serving others; we will be happier and find a greater meaning of why we are on earth.
I know that we can't stop life from happening and giving us a hard time from time to time but when you build a strong foundation you will be able to overcome anything. Keep Satan far away from you as you can, and invite Heavenly Father into your life. It's the best thing you can do. I am so thankful that I married Chris in the Temple and that we are sealed for time and all eternity. What a beautiful blessing. It feels so good to know that if we do what is right, the promises Heavenly Father makes will all come true. I miss going to the Temple just within these two weeks that it has been closed. Next week I am going to try to go at least once if not twice. I am so excited.
I've missed the Temple so much you have no idea. Temple dates with your husband or your family are the best.

Trust me on this one

I am very happy that Chris and I got to go watch a movie last night.
It was a very nice much needed date. Poor baby he's been working
so hard on trying to finish my in-laws shed. He is such a hard worker.

The move we watched is about the Pioneers from the mormon church.
I must say that I highly recommend the movie 17 Miracles. It is
the best movie I've seen in a really long time. I loved it and it made
me realize how fortunate we are to be members of the church and not
have to go through all the hardships they had to go through. It
was such a beautiuful movie, Chris and I both thought it was
well worth our money.

Just remember to bring your Klenex if you want something to wipe
your tears with.
Go see it before it's not on theaters anymore.
I promise you'll love it.

I did it!

I went to the Temple again early in the AM with my mom! I am so happy that I got to go. Specially since I didn't even hesitate to get up at five- go me!

I am so happy that i have the oppourtunity to live about 10 minutes from the Temple. The more I think about it the more I become thankful for this. The Mesa Temple is so beautiful inside and out. I love going in there and then putting some names that I think need extra prayers. I feel so proud and I know my testimony keeps growing because of it.

I am so happy I got married in the Temple and I know I am sealed to my husband as long as we both are faithful to each other. There's no money in the world that could give you eternal happiness.

On a side note - TODAY IS HOT HOT! I am going to the gym later and then Im going swimming with my family. I can't wait. Right now is the perfect swim weather. Specially the night times. If you dont have a pool, Im sorrrry hopefully you know someone that does because thats the only way to survive summers here. We w
ill be getting our pool fixed next year :) SO by next summer we are getting our pool redone. I cant wait. We can't do it this year unfortunately because there's no way we could afford it.

Have fun and swim during this hot hot time!
I love swimming & raspados. yumm

I feel good

I feel so good today because of three main reasons:

1. I feel very accomplished.

2. The weekend will be here tomorrow and I am going out of town.

3. I have been doing good at working out and eating healthier.

There are so many things going on in my life and I would be lying if I said I wasnt the least bit stressed out. I do know one thing. When we have to go through some hard, difficult times we can either grow and learn from them or fall apart and go the opposite direction. I am glad that Im giving it all that I got and my husband has been very supportive in everything. He is so patient and perfect.

But at least the weekend is here and I couldn't be happier. I am going to enjoy the woods by playing games, sleeping, running in the woods, and last but not least bond with my family.
I am excited and cant wait to leave.

(LAST YEAR RUDD CAMP OUT)

My all time favorite

I have to admit everytime I see this picture it brings such joy and happiness to my heart. I love this so much and it comforts me when I need it the most. I love it so much that I have put it up next to our bed.
We still havent hung up that many things around the house but we do have a couple frames and I have a couple pictures of Christ. I need to find a custom made frame because I have a huge picture of Chris I'd like to put up within the next couple week. Anyone know a good cheap place for custom frames? I Need to put it up ASAP. I hope you like this picture as much as I do.

It is such a beautiful place. I feel at peace and all my worries

away from the Temple.
I am excited to go there tomorrow in the morning : )

I get to go on a Temple date with my amazing husband.
